Material world

The world we are living in today is material. We care about money, cars, clothes, gifts, but do we even care about each other. We are a human race, yet we ignore and abuse our sisters and brothers. We have spent so much time sitting back and watching the earth devolve into a planet that lacks heart, that we are the very reason that compassion is missing. 

I want to be the change I wish to see in the world today, but more so I want to have already been that change. I'm to lazy to rebel, but its the very least I can do to ignite this thought in the conscious of others. I tend to do the very least...am I a material girl?
